What we actually do
Refresh, mid rebuild, or move the plumbing.
Not every kitchen needs a wall down. Some need new boxes because the old ones are particleboard soup. We say which is which on the walkthrough.
- Semi-custom and custom cabinets
- Quartz and granite templated on site
- Islands that seat people without blocking the fridge
- Layered light: cans, pendants, under-cabinet
- Plumbing and electrical when the layout earns it
Cary problems
The peninsula, the dark corner, the one drawer that holds everything.
Preston and MacGregor kitchens were drawn for a different family. We keep the good bones — brick, ceiling height, the window over the sink — and fix the work zone.
Humidity and cooking grease punish cheap finish. We spec doors and stone that survive a Triangle summer.

Kitchen questions
Quartz or granite?
Quartz for low maintenance and a quieter slab. Granite if you want the variation and will seal it. We bring both to the conversation with actual samples, not a laptop slideshow.
Can you open the kitchen to the living room?
Often. We check the beam first. If it is load-bearing, the scope includes the structural work — we do not “see how it goes.”
How do we cook during the job?
Microwave, toaster oven, a folding table. We talk through it before demo so you are not surprised on day one.
